Our growers are experts at what they do and they take great pride in the fruit that they grow. The Kinosian and Nahas families are just two examples of the many growers whose dedication allows Welch’s® Fresh to bring you a happy balance of goodness and deliciousness.
The Kinosian Family
The Kinosians began farming Thompson and Emperor table grapes and wine grapes in the early 1930s. From these humble beginnings, they evolved to become an industry leader in new grape varieties including Autumn King, Scarlet Royal, and Sundale Red.
Delivering exceptional grapes since 2006, Aram and his son, Todd, began growing Welch’s® grapes in 2010. Always striving to create value for their customers and the environment, they embrace farm and field practices to reduce waste, improve quality, and provide sustainable products.
Jim Nahas
Jim began his career over 30 years ago when he came to California. His passion for strawberries began on his first day. As Jim’s family grew, so did his operation—from the original 40-acre operation to 1,000 acres in the Santa Maria Valley and Oxnard district.
Today Sam, Backus, Marcoelle, and Nick Nahas share their father’s passion to grow the best fruit available. Family is truly the core of the business, day-in and day-out, as they handle everything from sales to farm management.
Jim and his family began growing and packing berries for Welch’s® Fresh in 2007.
